Happy Tails From The Pet Families We Help

We love this sweet Happy Tail from Queenie Longley and Little Girl:

The Happy Tails keep coming, including this one from Cynthia: “Harley had an infection on his back left paw and was given antibiotics and spray to treat. He’s officially on the mend, thanks to C.A.R.E.4Paws!”

Vonnie shared words of gratitude with the C.A.R.E.4Paws team: “My puppies, Levi and Cassidy, had their spay and neuter surgeries at your clinic at the Santa Maria Eagles and are all healed up. Dr. Thompson did a great job! Thank you to all the staff.”

In May 2022, Lynda Peters in Pismo Beach let us know that her pups Askit and Bubba, who got fixed during one of our clinics at Elm Street Dog Park, were recovering well. “We cannot thank you enough. Everyone at the clinic was so professional, friendly and helpful. The dogs are doing great and we’ve had no complications or issues.”

We are impressed by Lynda’s modification of Askit’s cone: A pool floatie tied to his collar!

We love hearing Happy Tails! Neil and Jesse’s story warms our hearts: “We are very grateful for C.A.R.E.4Paws. They always have everything we need. They have lots of different kinds of food, toys (that Jesse destroys) and leashes (because he breaks one a week). There’s also a vet service on Thursdays that saved us before we had insurance. They also provide baths, which is helpful because we don’t have a great setup for that.

I just wanted to say how much we appreciate C.A.R.E.4Paws. I hope they continue doing all the good work they do!”

Carole Smeathen mailed us a card about how we helped her pup Lola with a shot for severe skin allergies. “She was so itchy and miserable she could not even sleep,” says Carole. “I appreciate your help so much and so does Lola, who’s a rescue and an adorable and happy girl.”

We received this sweet note from Lisa after Ms. Darcy’s spay surgery in our mobile clinic: “The C.A.R.E.4Paws staff was so kind to Ms. Darcy and me. I was a nervous new mom as she was only a few months old. They took the time to answer my many questions and were so caring towards my baby girl. This service is AMAZING! So grateful for what they do!”

Ms. Darcy is one cute kitty and we’re happy she’s doing well!

We have so many happy tails to share with you about the pets and people we help on a daily basis. Here’s Dudley and Alyson’s tail: “I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for C.A.R.E.4Paws’ clinic team, for the program funding from The Grey Muzzle Organization and the services provided for my Dudley,” says Alyson.

Kudos to our mobile clinic team from Tom and his family: “We received help with grooming for Tiger, my daughter’s giant Maine Coon cat, as his fur was severely matted and tangled, and the staff was fabulous! Very accommodating and helpful. We really appreciate you guys and what you do!”

When the Rodriguez family got their dog, Snowy, at three months old, she lost all of her hair. The family brought her to C.A.R.E.4Paws’ mobile clinic, where they found out that Snowy had mange. “My husband was desperate and wanted to give her up because we couldn’t make her better,” says Lourdes Rodriguez. However, Carlos Abitia, C.A.R.E.4Paws’ cofounder and mobile clinic manager, and our clinic veterinarian, Dr. Tom Thompson, told the family that Snowy could be treated and get better and grow all of her hair back.

Snowy went through the treatment for mange and after that, she got spayed and received all of her vaccinations, thanks to a generous veterinary assistance grant from PetSmart Charities.

“C.A.R.E.4Paws services are very important,” says Lourdes. “The staff is very friendly and treats you very well, and they have all these services for pet owners in need. It is an exceptional service!”

In the spring of 2021, Courtney Vasquez noticed that her kitty, Dolly, was not feeling well. She ate less and less and lost her energy. During the pandemic, the Vasquez’s family business has suffered significantly, but luckily, Courtney discovered C.A.R.E.4Paws’ wellness services for families in need. After meeting with our veterinarian, Dr. Tom Thompson, Courtney learned that Dolly has stomatitis, an extremely painful inflammation of the mouth. “Dr. Thompson and staff went out of the box thinking of solutions. For six months, we saw him every two weeks,” says Courtney. “And now, Dolly is better than ever. She’s playing, eating and has an appetite that just won’t quit! Bringing Dolly to the clinic was the best decision I ever made. Because of C.A.R.E.4Paws, she’s getting what she needs.”
