After 16 years of working directly in Santa Barbara County’s most underserved communities, our dedicated outreach efforts have demonstrated a tremendous impact, notably reducing pet overpopulation, improving animal welfare and drastically reducing intake numbers at animal shelters countywide.
Our unique, boots-on-the-ground community outreach approach, coupled with several innovative programs, ensure that low-income, senior, disabled and unhoused pet owners in our county’s most underserved, or “critical,” areas have access to low-cost services for their dogs and cats. We believe C.A.R.E.4Paws’ outreach methods can benefit animals and pet-owning families beyond Santa Barbara County, which is why we have launched our Community Outreach Consulting program.
