Behavioral Training
Often, dogs are relinquished to shelters because of a behavioral issue their families can’t manage. To help keep these animals in their homes, C.A.R.E.4Paws supports low-income pet families in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties by setting up a session with our dog trainer on staff or referring them to one of our local training partners, depending on their dog’s specific needs or the family’s location.
Who qualifies
Our services are reserved for low-income pet families in Santa Barbara and SLO counties whose dogs and cats are at risk of ending up in a shelter due to a behavioral issue that causes hardship for the family and/or pet and are unable to afford training. Proof of low income required, and pets need to be vaccinated before entering our program. If you need assistance with these pet wellness services, we can help you in our mobile veterinary clinics.
How to apply
Please fill our the following behavioral training request form and a C.A.R.E.4Paws representative will get in touch with you as soon as possible. Proof of low income is required.
