Snip & Chip SLO

C.A.R.E.4Paws volunteers greeting clients with their pets

In 2022, C.A.R.E.4Paws expanded our mobile clinic pet wellness services to San Luis Obispo (SLO) through Snip & Chip SLO, a program developed alongside SLO nonprofits Animals in Need Fund and Animal Shelter Adoption Partners. Snip & Chip SLO aims to curb pet overpopulation, prevent pet homelessness and euthanasia of adoptable animals, and improve animal welfare in the county.

We host regular walk-in Pet Wellness Clinics with low-cost vaccines, flea treatment, dewormer, microchips and nail trims for dogs and cats. We also provide help with low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and veterinary care to pet families in need (by prior appointment and only through our mobile clinics).

Our services in Oceano are offered for free to pet families in need thanks to a generous Access to Care grant from PetSmart Charities. Learn more here.
